Drifter
Drifter refers to a selection whose odds are increasing, meaning the market confidence in that outcome is decreasing. This happens when there is little betting support or new information suggests a lower chance of winning.
Example: If a horse starts at 4.00 odds but drifts to 6.00 before the race, it is a drifter. This could be due to poor form, unfavorable conditions, or a lack of bets. Drifters can sometimes offer value if the odds become too inflated.
