Understanding Odds Formats
Decimal Odds
Popular in Europe and Australia. Shows total return for every $1 bet. Example: 2.50 means you get $2.50 back for every $1 bet (including your stake).
Fractional Odds
Traditional British format. Shows profit relative to stake. Example: 3/2 means you win $3 for every $2 bet.
American Odds
Used in the US. Positive (+) shows profit on $100 bet. Negative (-) shows how much to bet to win $100. Example: +150 means win $150 on $100 bet. -150 means bet $150 to win $100.
Implied Probability
The percentage chance the bookmaker believes the event will occur.
