Longshot refers to a bet on an outcome with a low probability of winning, usually at high odds.

Since longshots are unlikely to win, they offer large potential payouts but come with higher risk. Bettors often place small stakes on longshots for a chance at a big return.

For example, if an underdog team has 15.00 odds to win, they are considered a longshot. While the chances of winning are low, the payout is significantly higher if they do.
