Middle

Middle in betting refers to a situation where a bettor places bets on both sides of a spread or total at different lines, creating a chance to win both bets if the final result falls within a specific range.

For example, if you bet Team A -3.5 early in the week and later place a bet on Team B +5.5, you have a 2-point middle (if the game ends with Team A winning by 4 or 5 points, both bets win). If the final score lands outside this range, one bet wins while the other loses, minimizing risk.

Middling is a high-reward strategy often used by sharp bettors when line movements create favorable betting opportunities.
