Mug Bet
Mug Bet refers to a bet placed by a casual or inexperienced bettor (often called a "mug") who does not use strategy, value analysis, or proper bankroll management.
Bookmakers profit heavily from mug bets, as they are often placed on short-priced favorites, emotional picks, or heavily marketed bets without considering the odds' real value. A typical mug bet might be backing a popular team at poor odds or placing accumulators with very low chances of winning.
Some sharp bettors also place occasional mug bets to avoid restrictions from bookmakers, making their account appear like a casual bettor's rather than a professional one.
