Prematch
Prematch refers to betting on an event before it starts, as opposed to in-play (live) betting.
Prematch betting allows bettors to place wagers based on fixed odds set by the bookmaker before the game begins. These odds may change leading up to the event due to team news, injuries, weather conditions, or betting market movements, but once a bet is placed, the odds remain the same.
Common prematch markets include match result (1X2), over/under goals, handicaps, and first goalscorer. Many bettors prefer prematch betting for its stability compared to in-play betting, where odds fluctuate based on live events.
