Quarters
Quarters in betting refer to bets placed on specific quarters of a game, commonly used in basketball and American football. Instead of wagering on the full game outcome, bettors can place bets on the first, second, third, or fourth quarter individually.
Common quarter betting markets include:
- Quarter Winner - Which team will be leading at the end of the quarter.
- Over/Under Points - Total points scored in a specific quarter.
- Point Spread - Adjusted handicap for that quarter only.
For example, if you bet on Team A to win the first quarter, your bet is settled based on the score at the end of the first quarter, regardless of the final result. Quarter bets allow for more betting opportunities within a single game, especially in high-scoring sports.
