Straight Bet
Straight Bet is a single wager on one selection, meaning the outcome of just one event determines whether the bet wins or loses. It is the most basic and popular form of betting.
For example, if you place €100 on Team A to win at 2.00 odds, and they win, your total return is €200 (€100 stake + €100 profit). If they lose, you lose your €100 stake.
Straight bets are commonly used in moneyline, point spread, and over/under markets. Unlike parlays or system bets, they do not require multiple outcomes to win, making them a safer and more controlled betting strategy. Many professional bettors prefer straight bets as they provide better long-term bankroll management and lower risk compared to combination bets.
