Teaser Bets
Teaser Bets are a type of parlay (accumulator) bet where the bettor can adjust the point spread or total in their favor in exchange for lower odds and reduced payouts. Teasers are commonly used in American football (NFL, college football) and basketball (NBA, college basketball).
How It Works:- Teasers require two or more selections (like a parlay).
- The bettor moves the spread or total by a set number of points (e.g., 6, 6.5, or 7 points in football).
- All selections must win for the teaser bet to be successful.
Original spread:
- Team A -7.5 → Adjusted to -1.5
- Team B +3.5 → Adjusted to +9.5
By shifting the lines, you improve your chances of winning, but the odds are lower than a standard parlay.
Teaser bets are popular among bettors who want more control over point spreads while still benefiting from the multiplier effect of parlays. However, because all selections must win, they still carry significant risk.
