Win Only

Win Only is a type of bet where your selection must finish first for the bet to win. If the selection finishes in any other position, the bet loses.

This term is commonly used in horse racing and greyhound racing, distinguishing it from an each-way bet, which also pays out if the selection places (e.g., finishes 2nd or 3rd, depending on the race conditions).

For example, if you place a €100 win-only bet on a horse at 5.00 odds, you will win €500 (€400 profit + €100 stake back) only if the horse finishes first. If it finishes second or lower, the bet is lost.

Win-only bets offer higher returns compared to each-way bets, but they also come with greater risk since there is no payout for placing.
